The Shane McConkey Foundation's Pain McShlonkey Fundraiser

The Pain McShlonkey fundraiser at Squaw Valley Ski Resort was an event to remember, as always. This year, the foundation honored the legacy of the late, great Shane McConkey by raising money for various charitable causes and promoting awareness for the foundation's mission.

Saturday March 7th, 2015 skiers and snowboarders from all over the world came out for the PMS. The day was filled with excitement, from the early morning registration and raffle, to the main event, the McConkey's Cup comp. The comp featured skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities, who competed in a variety of events, including the Big Air, Super G, and Slopestyle competitions.

The highlight of the event was the Big Air competition, where skiers and snowboarders launched themselves off a massive jump, performing aerial tricks and flips that left the crowd in awe. The Super G competition, where skiers raced down a challenging course, was also a crowd-pleaser, as was the Slopestyle competition, where skiers and snowboarders showcased their technical skills on rails and boxes.

The day was not just about the competitions, however. There were also activities for the whole family, such as live music, food and drink vendors, and a silent auction. The silent auction featured amazing items, such as skis and snowboards signed by professional athletes, as well as other outdoor gear and experiences.

The event was a huge success, raising over $100,000 for the Shane McConkey Foundation. The money raised will be used to support various charitable causes, such as providing outdoor education opportunities for underprivileged youth and supporting athletes who are injured while pursuing their passions.

The Shane McConkey Foundation would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the event, from the athletes who competed, to the volunteers who helped organize and run it. Your support means the world to us and helps us to continue Shane's legacy of living life to the fullest and giving back to the community. We are already looking forward to next year's event, and we hope to see you all there!
