Tahoe and Today

          Today was a gorgeous and warm day to head out for a little backcountry mission.  The local lakes have all mostly frozen over, and although we don't have much snow to speak of, conditions will only be getting worse until it snows.  A more succinct way of saying that might be, gettin, while the gettins good.  It is a life of leisure when one lives in the mountains and can be selective about ski conditions, and when to ski.  We are also partial to the immense and overwhelming beauty that penetrates our every moment of Tahoe life.  This sunset appeared after a day of backcountry fun in the sun.  I couldn't have been more grateful to catch the sky stricken fiery color, was quite a brilliant end to my day!
